At alimex, we take the social responsibility as part of the society in which we operate as a company seriously. In-house, we support young people in starting careers - class winners as well as teenagers from a disadvantaged social background. For example, alimex have supported internships for learners at Peter-Ustinov-School in Mönchengladbach for years in order to give them an impression what the working world is like. Of course, inquiries from pupils in other schools are also welcome. Cooperation with universities is well-established. Degree dissertations have been overseen in our company for years.
But our definition of social responsibility requires even more engagement...

alimex donates a classroom and contributes to a school building project in Ghana
The mission of the 520 SOS facilities such as vocational training centres, schools and kindergartens is to support children and adolescents who live in areas hit hard by war, environmental disasters or severe poverty. Worldwide, more than 100,000 boys and girls attend classes in one of the 193 SOS schools.
So that children in Ghana can lay the foundation for a life without poverty, alimex has decided to give them a chance to attend school. It is our contribution to society instead of handing out Christmas presents to our customers.
We are glad to announce that alimex donated an entire classroom for a new school in Ghana. Soon, more than 500 children will "hit the books" on the tables and chairs donated by us.

The new chalkboard helps teaching the students all the skills and knowledge that may help them and their families to enter a more promising future.
We would like to thank all our customers for their support - without them, such an initiative would not have been possible.

alimex supports the introduction of disabled-friendly workplaces
Commitment, courage and conviction is what drives Cooperative Beschützende Arbeitsstätten e.V. (Protective Workplaces Association) in Munich. The organisation develops workplaces for employees with disabilities and supports them in their right to a job and their desire to have their skills acknowledged. There are various partner companies who provide such a work environment.
alimex supported one project in particular - a project with a truly exclusive and integrative concept: The restaurant CONVIVA IM BLAUEN HAUS in Munich is not only an exciting workplace for disabled people, it is also an exclusive dining venue and as the theatre restaurant for the Münchner Kammerspiele and cafeteria for the theatre staff attracts an extraordinary audience.
