More Room for Innovations
alimex further expands its premises in Germany up to 40,000 m².
Following a multi-million euro investment in the expansion of the alimex premises in Willich close to Düsseldorf is a commitment to Germany and the own high demand on quality. By the turn of the year 2008/2009 alimex accomplished the construction phase of the new additional production hall (10,000 m²) and the adjacent office building. In which the German producer of aluminium cast plates expanded its facility up to 40,000m².
Entering the new location in spring 2009 provides alimex with more room for extraordinary large and state-of-the-art plate and block saws and milling machines. The development of the new facility focused on an optimisation of the production process and reaction times; especially for the products ACP 5080 and ACP 5080R in the GIANT dimensions 560 mm x 2800 mm x 6000 mm.
With this growth, the German aluminium producer expanded the manufacturing capacities considerably. Today, more than 200 employees are working with alimex worldwide. Next to the headquarters in Willich, which is close to Düsseldorf Germany, alimex also runs four additional locations worldwide at Augsburg (Germany), Venray (Netherlands), Milton Keynes (Great Britain) and Minden, Nevada (USA).
